Introduction
The Australian School of Security and Investigations offers a unique course which teaches the methodology used in finding Missing persons.
This course would appeal to licensed investigators or those persons who are either in training or are seeking an insight into the investigations industry. It would also appeal to anyone looking for lost relatives, friend or simply wanting to compile a family tree.
Course participants will be provided instruction by an experienced investigator on the various ways of locating persons by using the internet and the many search facilities that can be accessed by the general public.
This is not simply a theory based course. Course participants use actual missing person case scenarios and work together to search for and locate persons using the internet and other means.
Instruction is provided on interviewing techniques with great emphasis being placed on people and communication skills so that maximum information can be gleaned during each inquiry.
During the course participants will learn to:
- Use internet search techniques
- Use Google searches to locate persons
- Interrogate marketing databases
- Use the Electoral Roll
- Conduct ASIC searches for business information
- Perform online searches using "pay as you go"
- Use lawful pretext stories to obtain information
- Use the Freedom of Information Act
Upon completion of the course, participants will be eligible for the award of an Australian Nationally accredited Statement of Attainment for the following unit from the PRS30303 Certificate III in Investigative Services:
FNAMERC04B Locate Subjects
Whilst this unit is nationally accredited, it does not allow the individual to carry out paid work as an investigator.
To carry out work as a paid investigator, course participants would need to complete the remaining units in the PRS30303 Certificate III in Investigative Services.
Any person wanting to complete the remaining modules through ASSI would be offered the course at a reduced rate.
The Certificate III in Investigative Services is a highly desirable qualification within the Investigations industry in Australia and other overseas locations and is the pre-requisite for Investigator licensing.
